Rosco Redesigns Eye-Max™ School Bus Mirror

Rosco has redesigned the Eye-Max® school bus mirror. The new and improved Eye Max LP™ has made its first appearence at the 2008 NAPT show. The Eye-Max LP™ represents the next step in the evolution of cross view mirrors. It improves on the performance of the already successful HawkEye® and Mini-HawkEye® mirrors.
The novelty of the Eye-Max LP™ is the revolutionary asymmetric shape of its mirror lens. This offers some significant advantages:

• Enhanced definition (larger image) of passengers passing through the danger zones
around a school bus
• Lower profile reduces forward blindspots
• Enhanced coverage of dangerous passing traffic on driver side during load and
unload stops
• Surpasses System "B" mirror requirements per FMVSS111

Safe-T-Scope™ Backup Cameras

Truck and bus back-up safety is an ever increasing concern to fleets in these tough economic times. Accidents and liability, insurance premiums can be reduced with improved driver vision and performance. Some state laws, and pending Federal legislation, require either mirrors or cameras behind certain vehicle types. Only camera systems have the ability to provide crystal clear vision in dark nighttime environments and only camera systems provide the opportunity for audible one way communication from the rear of the vehicle to the driver. Rosco's line-up of Safe-T-Scope™ camera systems cover the range of applications from rear back-up to side/front view multi-camera systems. Rosco provides automatic switching of camera views based on vehicle operational status or mode. The time is right to invest now - whether you are a fleet or a re-seller of Rosco. Pricing and promotions have never been better. Of course, all product is supported by Rosco, the company that can meet your needs with application expertise, design engineering and technical support. Remember, any company can offer a warranty, but only Rosco can "Back-It Up" - we have been for over 100 years! Want to know more about Safe-T-Scope™ camera systems or the innovative new Dual-Vision™ windshield mounted compact dual camera recording device? Please click on the title above to find out more about how Rosco can save your fleet money and open re-selling opportunities to OEMs, distributors and dealers.

Dual-Vision™, A Compact, Low Cost, Continuous Camera Recording Solution!

Rosco has been an innovator in mirror and rear vision systems for over 100 years. Dual-Vision™ represents an economical alternative to full-scale mobile DVR systems, providing thorough coverage of the driver and loading/unloading area, external events and conditions, traffic signals, and passenger actions, at a fraction of the cost of traditional technologies such as DVR recording and stand alone internal camera equipment. Also, installation is reduced dramatically, thus allowing for the simple transfer of Dual-Vision™ to any vehicle at any time with no monthly maintenance and no recurring fees. This expands the use of the device to many more applications previously untouched. Unlike all other self-contained drive-recorders on the market, the Dual-Vision™ concept provides continuous recording rather than spot recording of only “events”. This means that fleets now can have a record of all activity, incidents, altercations inside and surrounding the vehicle, rather than just those which are selectively “marked” based on driver input or due to significant G-shock events.

A major distinction of the Dual-Vision™ system is its continuous loop recording function: unlike other windshield-mounted recorders which only record for a few seconds before and after a pre-defined “event”, Dual-Vision™ sees and records everything! Additionally, when the Dual-Vision™ recorder notes an event (ex: pre-set G-shock setting or driver-actuated marker button), a separate event file is created with 1-3 minutes of data captured before and after the event. Event data is protected, and cannot be overwritten by the continuous record mode.
The handling of the data with Dual-Vision™ is completely in the fleet-owner’s hands. No subscription is required, in contrast to other services that interpret the data and then charge a fee to send the owner a video record of events or driver activity. Data can be easily downloaded from the SD card to a computer, where it can be reviewed, then discarded or archived at the owner’s discretion.
